LtJG McNew Stationed in Iraq Seeks Support For Children
LtJG Jerry McNew, a Navy Officer serving with the Marines RCT-6 team, seeks toys and suppliesUS Marine Corps Ensign Jerry McNew, who is stationed in Iraq, has witnessed first hand the effect gifts have had in building the relationship between the soldiers and the Iraqi people. Ensign McNew has emphasized the importance of school supplies and toys for the local children. He has seen the benefits from the previous donations that he has been a part of and states, "I have seen a lot of children without and this can go a long way to bring a smile to the children of Iraq".

"Thank you very much. This will be deeply appreciated and we will provide photos and video.
If possible request the following:
1. 1000 school kits
2. 1000 Soccer Balls
3. 500-1000 sets of crayons with coloring books
4. 250-500 toys for children ages 2-8
This would help us out tremendously. I have seen a lot of children without and this can go a long way to bring a smile to the children of Iraq."

Use of funds
We are a 501c3 nonprofit and your donation is tax deductible. 100% of all project donations (excluding credit card processing fees) will be used for direct project expenses (i.e., purchase and shipping of the needed goods and services). We do not deduct fees or expenses for organization overhead. Those expenses are funded separately. Donation Policy Your donation will be earmarked for this project. Donations in excess of those needed by this project will be used to support other Spirit of America projects.
